Chris & Lindsay

A small, relaxed wedding in New York with our favourite people.

Yes, you read that right! It’s only taken us twelve and a half years, but we’re finally making it official and getting married. We’re keeping things very intimate and informal, with just a handful of special guests, and it would mean the world to us if you could join us.

Everything you need to know should be here — let us know if you're able to make it.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Central Park Ceremony
By The Lake

Ladies Pavilion, Central Park
Friday 15 May 2026 · 4:00pm

We’ll be getting married in a short ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park — a small wooden shelter by the lake on the west side of the park.

  • The pavilion is open-air and right by the water, surrounded by trees. It’s intimate, standing-room only, and (fingers crossed) sunny.
  • From either station, it’s about a 10-minute walk through Central Park to the lake. The Ladies Pavilion is tucked into a small wooded nook by the lake — hidden away from the main path, but easy enough to find.
  • After the ceremony, we’ll take a few photos by the lake before slipping away for some portraits around the city. You'll have a little time to explore, relax, or enjoy the park before making your way back to the subway for the evening celebrations.

After the ceremony you’ll have a bit of time to wander, grab a drink or snack, or nip back to your hotel to freshen up. When you’re ready, it’s a short ride on the subway downtown to the West Village before we all meet again for dinner.

  • If you're coming directly from the ceremony, take the B or C downtown from 81 St–Museum of Natural History or 72nd Street.
  • Ride straight to West 4 St–Washington Sq for about 15 minutes (no transfers needed).
  • From there, it’s just a short walk to the restaurant, where we’ll continue the celebrations.

Dinner Downtown

Bobo, 181 W 10th St, New York, NY 10014
Friday 15 May 2026 · 7:30pm

We’ll meet up again at 7:30pm for dinner at Bobo in the West Village — one of our favourite corners of the city, and the perfect spot to spend the rest of the evening together.

  • Bobo is a French restaurant inside a beautiful old townhouse on West 10th Street. We’ll be in the private garden at the back, which is covered if the weather is rubbish.
  • If you’re coming straight from the ceremony, just hop on the B or C train downtown to West 4 St-Washington Square, then walk west through Greenwich Village and up to West 10th Street. It’s only about a 5–10 minute walk, depending on which exit you come out of.

Here’s the rough shape of the day:

  • 4:00pm – Ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park.
  • Afterwards – A few photos by the lake, then some free time to wander, grab a drink or snack, or head back to your hotel for a bit.
  • Early evening – Make your way downtown to the West Village by subway or taxi.
  • 7:30pm – We’ll meet up again for dinner at Bobo and the rest of the evening.

The ceremony and dinner are both small and fairly relaxed, with a bit of breathing room in between rather than everything happening back to back.

You’ll find the more practical info — where to stay, what to wear, and how to get around — in the FAQ section.

FAQ

Questions & Answers

Things to know before the day.

Hopefully this covers the obvious questions, but if there’s anything we’ve missed just ask.

Where are we staying?

We’ll be staying at the Ace Hotel in Manhattan from 13th to 19th May.

Where should I stay?

Wherever suits you best. It’s New York and the options are endless. It’s quick and easy to get around once you’re there. Manhattan is the most convenient for the wedding, but Brooklyn/Williamsburg are often better value and only 20-30 minutes away on the subway.

Is there a dress code?

No, wear whatever you want — we really don’t mind. Be comfortable, stylish, chic, loud and outrageous... whatever makes you happy. Keep in mind that the ceremony is outside and will go ahead regardless of the weather. There will also be a little bit of walking involved so be mindful of footwear.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start at 4pm and is approximately a 10 minute walk from the nearest transit stops. Try to arrive a little early so you have time to find your way there and get settled before we start.

What will the weather be like?

Who knows?! Sunny and warm with any luck. May in New York City is usually pleasant and mild; average highs are around 20°C but light layers may be needed for the evenings.

Are you expecting gifts?

No, not at all. We appreciate that it’s already a big trip for a lot of people, so truly, coming is more than enough.

How do I get around New York?

Public transit runs 24/7 and is cheap, reliable and easy to use. We recommend downloading Citymapper before you travel to navigate the subway and bus system, as it makes finding the best route much easier. You can pay your fare by tapping a debit or credit card, or by using an OMNY card. Taxis, Lyft and Uber are also widely available.

Do I need an ESTA?

If you’re travelling from the UK, make sure you’ve applied for an ESTA in advance. It’s a simple online form and you can apply here: Official ESTA website.

What should we do while we’re in town?

It’s New York — there's always something to do. If you want a few of our favourite areas to wander around, try the Upper West Side, West Village, Greenwich Village, SoHo or Brooklyn Heights to start.

How do we stay in contact while we're there?

Text and iMessage can be a bit unreliable with temporary eSIMs, so WhatsApp or email us if you need to get hold of us while you’re there.
